Valentine's Day I finally was well enough to drive. I felt nervous, but made it up safely and back from Maple Grove to visit with Jana and my cute (and big!) godson, C.
Yep, he's at that super busy age and Jana is a very patient momma with him. I was a bit nervous when we were in a few stores and I realized he could outrun me and my orthopedic velcro shoes. Once spring hits we'll do a proper photo session, but this is real life, right? He's so cute!
Jana was sweet and gave me a really thoughtful, nice gift-- a darling camera ornament. I need to find a place to hang it. We went and grabbed yogurt and talked for a good hour. I was pretty tired, but made it home before rush hour.
I can't believe how exhausted I get just out and about doing things that I wouldn't even blink an eye to before my surgery. I realize now how quickly I like my life to go. This entire foot surgery thing has slowed me down! But, I'm not totally down and out, just hoping my outrageous energy level will return soon with faster-moving feet :)
