One day in January during our senior year Zane and I created a delicious pasta carbonara dinner. It was the start of a tradition and we have since moved our party to September. I spent the afternoon preparing. By preparing I mean boiling water and taking self portraits in my AOPi apron.
Like last year I decorated the table with pumpkins, green ones this time. They have really prickly stems, I have already poked myself multiple times with them. But, I love their unique coloring:
And of course, like always Zane was in charge of the bacon and we quickly finished putting the dish together once he arrived. What a crack up he is. I don't know anyone funnier and he fits the bill as brother perfectly.
Afterwards we headed to get ice cream and ended up bringing some over to dad's. Then we both felt it necessary to sing the Minnesota fight song loudly and Zane made me do a high kick. Happy times!
Things I learned about Zane:
He was born at home, and so were his four other siblings! So cool.
He can sing all the annoying top 40 songs in a high girly voice.
He's a goober and I love it.
