Can we please talk about this sky? I cannot get over it. I think things are more vibrant in Pennsylvania. My incredible Aunt Ann and I started by harvesting beats from her garden then canning them. No small feat I'll have you know! It was a ton of work.
My darling cousin Liz who has a daugther, twin boys and is expecting baby #4 wanted me to take some photos of her cuties at the house where our mom's grew up. I love that I can see so much of Liz in her girl's face and also her brother's in the twin's. After watching home movies of my mom and her siblings growing up in the 1950s I'm certain everyone has their own doppelganger in this family. We have some strong genes!
My other (second) cousin Jake and his wife are building a home just down the road from my Aunt and Uncle (who are actually their grandparents.) We had so much fun walking through the different rooms and trying to get a sense for what the space will be like. I think they need a framed print of mine as a housewarming gift.
When we weren't running around with family I was feasting on blackberry pie and fresh blackberries right from a small patch. I can't get over how beautiful these are, I love their deep, dark color.
Like always I can't wait to go back. I sure wish MN and PA and OH weren't so far away from each other. I love my family.
