There's no denying it, I am loving this summer! While I am looking forward to autumn in Minnesota (there is nothing quite like it!) I had one fantastic weekend and here's why.
On the way to meet up with Robyn and her husband Eason to attend the Uptown Art Fair I spied my favorite flower in full bloom against a stunning blue sky:
Just my luck I had eaten sticky sweet corn and was feeling a little dirty when I happened upon Mrs. Meyer's hand washing station. I already admire this company and now I am a bigger fan. There is nothing like washing your hands when you're out at a fair or festival:
Mom and I braved the crowds at Nordstom's annual sale. I am so glad we did. I came home with three pairs of a shoes and a much better fitting bra. Thanks to Becky who works in their women's lingerie department, I would trust no one else! I could go on and on about that but I don't want to share TMI, just that I believe every woman should go there and get refitted and find something that fits properly! While at the mall I found myself at B&BWs where their summer candles were marked 50% off. I love the graphics and scents of these:
The talented (and fellow Minneapolis Photographer, whoop whoop!) Mary over at White Peach Photography started an August photo challenge that I'm so excited about. Sunday's prompt was your hometown. I was born at Fairview Southdale in Edina and proudly raised in the west metro/952:
My mother kindly surprised me with a brand new dish towel. Only she knows how much I love chickens. Which reminds me that the state fair is coming up, I can't wait to see all those beautiful birds:
Sunday I had church as usual. I loved getting the chance to worship God, sing and pray. I am so grateful that I live in a country where I can worship how I see fit. I am so glad I have a place of peace to go to when I am shocked and stunned by the awful, violent news in our country and world. No matter what, all that counts is my relationship with God and his son. I am so grateful.
All in all, a wonderful weekend! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, too!
