Joy and I have a tradition of attending the Fair together. We have done this every summer since we graduated! We started out our morning in the cattle building. I love livestock, they crack me up.
After walking through the swine building an old woman gave us a lecture about how it wasn't "safe." Yep, it's not safe if you touch them, are a baby or suffer from an auto-immune disorder. We happily donned our oink booth hats.
Of course it wasn't all about animals for us... we came to eat. I wait all year for the cheese curds and we finally found the apple cider floats (think martinelli's + cinnamon ice cream in a big cup) after looking for two years. Now I know exactly where that booth is so I can find it again, those taste so good! We also tried a cranberry and brie crepe, it was heavenly!
The crowds were not as awful as usual so I was able to snap some photos of baby animals in the MIracle of Birth barn, usually it is way too crowded. I love these little chicks :)
Like always I somehow missed the time where I could see all the adult chickens... luckily I'm going back this weekend so expect more photos soon, the birds are my favorite part!
