When I was a kid we got a lot of catalogs. There was one particular one that featured send-away-kits for all kinds of things to make: kites, dolls, tiny looms for rugs, and the best of all... make your own beauty products. I was transfixed. But mom never ordered one, and I don't even think I asked.
Well, one of the nice things about being an adult is that some of our childhood unfulfilled dreams get to come true (lol, how sick is that?)
I got to make my own beauty product for Christmas gifts- the factory has opened, and promptly closed (it was a one day affair)
It was so unbelievably easy to make. I am pretty sure (key word: pretty) that one of my two year olds at work could do it. All you do is mix the following in a large bowl: olive oil, sugar, scented oil. See, I told you it was hard and complicated.
Of course my favorite part was trying a bit of it myself... divine, if I do say so- and making the labels. If you are reading this, and you think you're getting one- please just act surprised when you see it!
