Two weeks ago my family and I headed south for another visit to the apple orchard. I had high hopes of capturing its grandeur- and hoped to take thousands of shots. But this year is different- I have a few real photography clients now and am bogged down (not in the negative sense) with images to work with. Plus, who wants to see the same images year after year of a tradition? The trick is to make something familial look different each time. Here are a few of my loves from this year's shoot:
I think there's someone up in that tree- I can't remember, but I love that. You can see how heavy those branches are with fruit. Autumn, it's clearly the best season.
At the farm, apples are gathered then soaked in freezing cold water and finally loaded into a press which grinds them down. Out comes the most delicious apple cider you have ever tasted. And that is saying a lot. I don't lie.
Another ladder in the tree shot. This is how I imagine an apple orchard ought to be. It's nice when things are what we expect.
A bucket of freshly picked apples-
And so I believe it has officially commenced. Happy Autumn!
