Dearest J:
I thought of you today as I went about the daily schedule that is Thursday. While you were enjoying a (perhaps slightly boring) conference on engineering at Stanford I was...
-Getting a headache from sanitizing cots with Lysol at work
-Feeling overwhelmed by homework and assignments
-Realizing I have so much to do before graduation
-Not feeling good, and then throwing up at home
-Pushing through it all, and making sure to go to class
-Not being "done" until 9:30
-Feeling scared for my first real job interview, which is tomorrow
I miss you. Please come back soon. I will be there to pick you up at the airport in rin-tin-tin. Thank you for being worried about me because I threw up.
I'm so glad you had fun getting Thai food with dad. I hope he didn't tell embarrassing stories about me. I'm kind of jealous that you go to go to dinner with my dad, he's so great. you're so great.
xoxo

Joe was great. Smart, engaging and all around gentleman.

Very cute letter, Katie! I envy you+your love.:) Not in a green with jealousy way, just a wistful+wishful sort of way.
