a bed. your vote.

•Which do you like the best? Next year I'll be out on my own, and that means buying my first grownup bed.  These are all from ikea, by the way.

•I like many of these for several reasons.  Currently I have a white and pale green beside table and dresser, but paint is cheap, so that's not permanent.
•I like that bed 1, 2, 5, & 6 will not require a bedskirt.  Bedskirts are not a huge deal, but it would be fun to not have to mess with one
•But, how romantic is bed 3? That is so feminine, and I love white
•Recently, I've been drawn to black, and have no idea how I'd work it, since I've always been a pastel bedroom kind of girl, but this could be a new leaf
•What about the print on bed 6? What do you think?

The metal beds can be easily spray painted so I'd choose the style rather than color.

I would choose 1 thru 4 because they are more classic and timeless.

If you plan on having a tv at the end of the bed the curve on 1 may be a problem.

my fave is the white metal for the sweet and feminine lines. it would also be very versatile with your painted furniture and can be painted black if you choose. it could even be painted pink for a sweet little girl one day!

We have number 2 and we like it. I really like number 3 though.

When I looked at these, I immediately thought that number three was "you".

I really like 3, but 2 is good too.

I like beds 2 and five- I think they look more sophisticated and are open to change if you like to do that alot. the print bed is nice, but I think I would get tired of it fast.

I like 2 and 5 but I am all about clean lines, and bed skirts drive me nuts. I like #6 too. It's just fun.

i'm loving #5, that grey is really growing on me. plus it's so simple & I love that you could add so many fun bright colors with that on your bedding

I love 2 and 3 the most. Number 6 is very fun, and I think you have the personality to pull it off! Not everyone could! :-)

2 & 5 are my favorite.
Do you know I'm still in my grown-up bed that I bought 7 years ago. It's a full size, which is definately too small for 2 people now. We are going to buy a brand new bedroom set later this year or early next year.

I am the odd ball here and says 6
I love that one but i know my husband would hate it

I agree with Teresa; 6 is way cute, but I would get tired of it really fast, and with a purchase this big, I'm always thinking about how long it will last and how adaptable it will be to future changes.

I would go with bed 2. I love all the fun color things you can do with black. Three is adorable-- so girly and sweet--but again, how long would it last? Maybe I'm just too practical. I don't know.

My choice is number two all the way.

What speaks most to your heart? What does the inner voice in your head whisper to you when you see these?

Whatever the answer to those two questions is would be the way to go in my opinion.

Lovely,
Just wanted to tell you that I think #6 is soo sassy! Just like you and me! Somehow you gotta have alittle sass in your life. I mean I did wear my sassy boots last night! Wanna bake again today?
LOVE Choo!

1, 3, or 6 are my favorites
1 -- classic looking. I was looking at the headboard & footboard and you could personalize it or spice it up with some cool vinyl. Maybe a bit "K" monogram in a really pretty font. Or a fleur de leis (sp?). You could have a lot of fun with that.
2 -- very romantic.
6 -- that print is very cool.

My roommate just got bed 3! It's really pretty and you can see it in person in 2 weeks! :-)

I also really like 1, 4, 5 and 6. OK, so I pretty much like them all. You have such fabulous taste.

I'd be safe and go with #2. You deary should really choose 3 or 6. I think three is more versatile, as you may tire quickly of the floral print (unless, it comes with interchangeable covers).

I'm not a fan of beds with footboards - I feel like you always end up kicking them all of the time. That only leaves #6, which is super fun, but I think it would get tiresome. I'd vote for #2, but that's because I love classic dark bedroom furniture. I think it looks so nice. #3 and #4 look rickety to me, although I'm sure they aren't.

I love bed four. I'd be weary of buying a bed with print.. it's a pretty big commitment. Would it really be worth reupholstering it if you wanted a change? I'm a little disappointed everyone else isn't agreeing with me. Bed four rocks. And you don't need a bed skirt with it. I personally like the skeleton spindle bed frame look. yup.

ugh I forgot. A lot of these beds have very different visual weight. Think about how you imagine your room feeling (light and airy or cozy?) and what size the room might be. A big heavy bed frame will dominate a small space.

I vote for bed #6. I think it would do well with a couple of different style choices, so there is still room to play with design/the overall feel of the room. Are you in New York now? I am so excited for the week after next! I just found out that russell+hazel is there, so I can't wait to check that out too! Good times coming our way!
