cookie time

•I cannot write this post without thinking of dear Nie.  I have been praying, fasted, and continue to pray as well as read her sister CJane's blog about any news/progress.  Like many other bloggers, Nie has inspired me, and I think she would truly approve of this entry. 
•Dear bloggers, I do think of you often.  Is that not normal?  We are connected somehow in a unique way.

•Because my newlywed buddies put me up for a few days it was only right that I cook for them in their darling, vintage Provo home.  I made Pioneer Woman's oatmeal crispies.  Probably my second favorite cookie now.  I am in love.  With the simplicity, the crispiness, and the fact that they were a hit at "cookie night."

•My friends, Dan and Robynn- happy with the stack of...

•delicious.  light.  food orgasm.  oatmeal crispies.  with, oh yes, pecans mixed in.  divine. 
•and I love stacking my cookies on a plate, gives a great visual look.  It would be fun to place them in glasine bags, tie them with gigham ribbon, and a homemade tag.  Hmm... I smell a Christmas idea coming on! 
•I don't know about you, but at the end of my life I want to stand before my maker and say, I MADE EVERYTHING I COULD.  I BAKED ALL I COULD, CREATED ALL I COULD, LOVED ALL I COULD, AND I AM USED UP!  I am carefully sucking every ounce of creativity out of myself.  Good idea, huh?

I always feel like I "know" the people behind the blogs I read. I kept having dreams about Nie and Christian last night. I do have to say that I am beyond horrified about the suggestion to release balloons for them. Tell me how polluting the earth and killing innocent animals helps this tragic situation? Sure seems like all it does is cause more tragedy. As for myself, I'm using this as an opportunity to tell people close to me how much I love them - you never know when they might be taken away.

Long time reader and lurker. You post about NieNie has compelled me to comment. I read a huge amount of lds blogs and rarely comment. I do feel a bond with everyone. I check up on them all 2-3 times a week to see how they are all doing. I was shocked to read about Nie's crash. Then I wished I'd commented at her place a few times.

I've turned over a new leaf. We are all connected in some way as you say. So here I am. I love that you write about being young and in college and your successes and the occasional trial. You are a great role model. Just wanted to let you know.
