merry christmas
OMG. My sad shiny face, blame it on all the cortizone 10 plus I had to put on as a result of that lovely friend eczema who likes to make my life miserable. Plus the wrinkled shade shirt! But, without further ado Merry Christmas readers!
Do you want to know what is on my "grown gurl" Christmas list? I knew you did...
•to
gain a better understanding, testimony, and reverence for Jesus
Christ. To be a better missionary, especially to my friends and
family. I have been given so many wonderful oppourtunities to do so,
and sometimes I chicken out.
•work on my family history. today I joined family search.
•to be more disciplined, mostly with school. It's hard to get motivated.
•many more crazy, lovely, hilarious, food-eating times with Jana
•maintain those amazing relationships with those far away (Jay, Arlene, and now *sniff sniff* Claire who is going abroad wawa)
•find a man who fits the ever so secret and sought after "big 5" to be revealed after I am married. Haha
•read my patriarchal blessing more. like once a month.
•i'm
not even going to put exercise on this list because that is just
silly. we all know that i will not exercise until i am severly obese.
my doctor asked me if i exercised and i said "no." she said my
metabolism would slow down once i reach 30. i guess that gives me 10
err 9 (in 2 days) years left of bliss.
•to find time to read for enjoyment, not just during summer and winter breaks.
•oh, and some cute black Uggs
And thank you all for your kind comments on my last post. I deleted it, because it was not nice. I would be so sad if someone wrote those things about me, even if they were true. So that was my sign that it needed to go. My mom is my mom, and I am just going to love her regardless. Ahhh. But thanks for letting me vent!

great list Katie- and you lucky duck- wish I even had a "metabolism" enjoy yours while you have one :}

Big 5, I love it! I too have this checklist of requirements that should remain TOP SECRET until the deal is sealed. There are so many things outside of the material...and the somewhat cliché world peace that would create an ideal Christmas season. Seeing that this was my first Christmas without my Grandma, my biggest goal is to try to get beyond any negative feelings I have towards other realitves. It's what she would've wanted. Life is short. A little too short.

Loved your list!
Ah, I still struggle with the excersize thing, and unfortunately I will be 30 in a few months.

-ooo, I'm so intrigued about your "big 5"!
-exercise. ya, that's not happening over here either. I guess I've got 2 more years to see if my metabolism sputters out.
-And happy happy birthday! You don't look a day over 20, my dear. :)

Good for you on the deletion of the post--kindness.
Also, I had "The Four Things" and dated OH-SO-MANY men with three of them! I married the first guy I met with all four (when I was 29!!!).
You wanna know what they are? Let's see if I can remember...
1. Righteous (worthy priesthood holder)
2. Employable (ambitious, smart, educated, etc)
3. Gets It (not only has a testimony, but has a VISION for his family and his future and wants to live life like a mission)
4. Smitten (cannot live without me and will pursue with abandon)
WORKED FOR ME! I am the happiest married woman I know! ;) Great Christmas wish list! Hope you had a very merry, and a Happy 21st birthday (I celebrated mine by having a mission farewell...sigh).
