From Kelly's blog: what are your thoughts on blogging? why do you do it/ not do it? what have you learned about yourself from blogging? has it been a blessing or curse in your life? how much time do you spend?

I don't think I was really conscious of how much blogging would literally "bless" my life when I started (July 2005).  In fact, it was on a whim.  I think I noticed some scrap celebs had one, and since, well I knew I was pretty cool, too I decided to start as well.  Also, my 2peas friends had kept up with me at my livejournal (which still exists, props to anyone who can find it/has read it) and followed me over via signature link to Creole Wisdom. So I guess the short story is I just started it for the heck of it, have kept with it, and thrive on it-

Now blogging provides a way for me to stay connected to the friends I have made via the web.  Whether it be old 2peas buddies or the slew of people I have met through other bloggers.  The goodness just keeps coming.  I guess I'm lucky because I'm blessed with a great "circle," there are/and have never been any creepers.  This is just not the blogging world I know.  For me, it's a creative, inspirational mecca.

Slowly, but surely I am learning (especially from reading my archives) how much I have grown in the past two years.  I know I am a half-way decent writer.  I know my readers enjoy my rantings and musings which are really unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

This is funny to admit, but Creole Wisdom is almost therapeutic for me.  It provides me a place to express myself where my entries are what I want them to be and nothing more or less.  I am fulfilled by all the inspiration other bloggers have provided me.  It fuels me.  I have always been surrounded by motivated, admirable women- the blog world is no different.  Any of you ladies would by buddies in "real life."

Thankfully blogging has never been a curse, but instead a blessing!  How much fun I have had with this.  I hope to keep going with it, and I really pray it never goes out of style and that I'll be writing here in 2012!

So, what about you?

therapy! i didn't think of that one, but yes it's true. and seeing progress. love it!

I do enjoy reading your blog- my daughter got me started- I do it mainly to keep in touch with family and friends so far away, and it's become a journal of sorts for me- Because heaven knows I'm not a creative writer!

I started out blogging when I got my first digital camera, so I could share photos and not have to optimize and email them. Now, I do it because I live all the way across the contry from everyone I know. I started posting every day, so I would be FORCED to find something interesting about my every day.

I love reading your blog, and imagining you in the cities, and always wonder if we happen any of the same people. ;)

i love your writing style that's for sure. i love blogging, it's been a blessing in my life too

I would definitely consider it a blessing that I have so much more of a desire to journal about my daily happenings now.

And I love reading all about yours, too, Katie!
