pigs, cowgirl boots, and cheese curds

That's right.  It's that time of year again.  Time for the best summer fun of the whole season. 

What is it that I'm speaking of?

Why, the State Fair my friends!

A) Cheese curds.  Yum Yum Yum.  They are so delicious, but don't eat too many!
B) Baby pigs and they say, "nom nom nom"

However, the most exciting part of the fair came after a visit to the cattle building and then a stop into one of the shops to pick up these babies...

Are those hot or what!?!?  I have been wanting some fierce boots for a long time and these lovelies cost me.  Style is not cheap!  After buying them it was only right to call a country dancing/song lovin' boy/man and our conversation went like this:
M: "I got some new cowgirl boots, I thought you would appreciate them."
J: "I'm glad you thought of me when you got those.  I have silver ones"  (boots come in metallic?!?)
M: "Oh.  Very cool."
Then he proceeded to tell me (and this has been cracking me up for hours) "you can do a lot in Utah with those boots."  LOL.  What does that mean!?!  One can only wonder... He has also officially become my tour guide with, "I'd love to show you around when you come out".  And sorry, I was not crazy enough to take a picture of him before he left.  But believe me, he's quite handsome.

Oh, I love fairs :). Mainly because of the food though - at the twin Falls County Fair in Idaho, they have what is called a "tater pig." Yes, I can hear you laughing all the way over here. It is a baked potato with a sausage link inside and melted cheese on top. It is crazy, but so good! My favorite fair food are these itty bitty fresh donutsthey have there though. Yum.
